Arnica Flowers

Organically grown and sustainably harvested.

Botanical Name: Arnica montana

Arnica montana, a member of the Asteraceae (or sunflower) family, is known for its characteristically large, yellow flower head. Arnica flowers are generally infused as arnica oil and blended into topical formulas. Common names include: wolf's bane, leopard's bane, mountain tobacco and mountain arnica.

Arnica is used topically for a wide range of conditions, including bruises, sprains, muscle aches, wound healing, superficial phlebitis, joint pain, inflammation from insect bites, and swelling from broken bones. More recent studies suggest it may also be helpful in the treatment of burns.

Precautions:
Not for internal use. Do not use on open wounds or broken skin. Persons with allergies to other members of the Asteraceae family should exercise caution. We recommend that you consult with a qualified healthcare practitioner before using herbal products, particularly if you are pregnant, nursing, or on any medications.
