It belongs to the Zingiberaceae family and is prized for its beautiful, fragrant white flowers and lush green foliage. The plant typically grows to a height of 3-6 feet, with broad, lance-shaped leaves that can reach up to 2 feet in length. The flowers, which resemble delicate butterflies, bloom in clusters atop tall stems, emitting a sweet, jasmine-like fragrance, especially in the evening.
