Aluminum Acetate is used for mordanting cellulosic fibers - paper, cotton, linen, bamboo and rayon.

Dissolve 1 tsp alum acetate in a quart jar of hot water. Use at 5% of Aluminum Acetate per pound of fabric or fiber. For mordanting paper:
