In this hands-on workshop, we’ll use leaves, flowers, heat, moisture, and natural processes to create one-of-a-kind botanical prints on watercolor paper.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe’ll begin by learning the basics of eco printing, including mordants, modifiers, plant tannins, and the differences between hot- and cold-press watercolor paper. Then we’ll head into the Curate garden to harvest botanicals for our work before building and steaming our own printing bundles.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThroughout the day, you’ll experiment with different plants and modifiers, including copper sulfate, ferrous sulfate, and iron oxide, and discover how each can influence color and detail.
